Kilburn blogger wins Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink Award

Kerstin Rodgers AKA Ms Marmite Lover won the best online writer category at the Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink Awards last night.  The chef’s blog msmarmitelover.com has been heralded for revolutionising the way people dine through its introduction to the supper club underground movement. Now in their second year, the awards celebrate the very best in writing, publishing and broadcasting on food and drink.

 

Taste of Kilburn 2014, a success

On Saturday 12 April 2014, Brent’s Deputy Mayor launched the “Taste of Kilburn” Food festival visited by over 200 people at the Taste of Kilburn Gazebo in Kilburn Square and its information hub at the Tricycle Theatre. ‘Taste of Kilburn’ brought together businesses, residents’ associations and local councils to encourage more people to eat out or buy take-aways from Kilburn restaurants in the High Road and Willesden Lane as well as in the side streets. The aim is to get more people to visit Kilburn and to try different foods and cuisines.
